Il Casale

Ca' de Santi was built in the late 18th century by a community of monks, who used it as a convent. During the 19th century it was inhabited by families of farmers who worked in the fields as sharecroppers. On the ground floor there were stables for the animals and wineries. In the second half of '900 a famous Austrian writer transformed it radically, making it the beautiful villa that is now.

Biagianti family bought the property in 1988, heavily investing in its restructuring and in particular in the complete redefinition of the greeen area, that now looks equipped, wholly fenced and excellently maintained in every part.

The main building is divided into two indipendent apartments, as described below.

Altogether there are 14 beds in 7 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 3 living rooms, 2 kitchens, 1  entrance hall, 1 balcony and 4 cellars with separate entrances.

History

Anywhere the house hides surprises that will take you back in history, allowing you to enjoy the flavors of the past.

The old hand-dug well,

the old oven that has fed tens of farmers,

the large fireplaces in the rooms, which have warmed  hundreds of cold winters,

the ancient "Ziri" (earthenware pots) found 3 metres below ground

and much more...
